A Broader Perspective in Learning

Interdisciplinary Studies at Bridgewater State University provides students the opportunity to push boundaries across different disciplines in the pursuit of their intellectual interests. 从 Actuarial Science to Geographic Information Systems (GIS); from 同性恋群体的研究 to 世界音乐 — and nearly 30 forward-looking 未成年人 in between — you can find new ideas and experiences within any of our interdisciplinary studies 未成年人.

These 未成年人 are anything but small! Our interdisciplinary programs are for curious students with big ideas that can't be contained by a single track. Work with different departments and faculty across campus to discover your own pathway to learning.

Introducing the BA in Childhood Studies, BSU’s First Interdisciplinary Major

As Bridgewater State University’s first interdisciplinary major, childhood studies brings together 教育, 艺术, 社会工作, psychology and other fields to help students understand childhood from infancy through age 18. The major prepares students to work with children at schools, recreation programs, 博物馆, social services organizations and other employers. Students can also continue their 教育 at graduate programs in psychology, 教育, law and health.
